eCommere, Shopping Cart, AutoResponder Recommendation

I recommend very few products, as I never recommend something unless I have severely tested it and I actually use it to make revenue in my business. One product that was an absolute “game changer” for me was 1AutomationWiz. I have been using the system since 2005 and saw a huge rise in my revenues and a decrease in my time doing menial tasks – two things I love to see. And this happened within the first 90 days of using the system.

You can review my eCommerce and Shopping Cart feature list. Make the switch. You won’t be disappointed.

… But the Market is Too Competitive …

A Happy Father’s Day wish to all the fathers out there … with the exception of the deadbeat ones.

This is a post I wrote two years ago and is worth a read, or re-read … it is how my father, a high school teacher, helped teach me one of the most valuable business lessons … ever.

Link Counts Reduce in Google Webmaster Tools But Ranking / Traffic Uneffected

SEO Revolution Membership Reopened

This month has seen the number of incoming links displayed in Google Webmaster Tools greatly reduce, which has led to a lot of speculation and overall panic by many webmasters. After looking at dozens and dozens of my own domains and reading the public statements from Google reps, it is clear that many links were removed from the tool, but they were removed from just that: the tool. I am not seeing any significant drops in ranking or traffic based on this change. It looks like they are just allowing for the reports to be easier read by the “average” person … whatever that means.

In short, when you see something like link counts drop by a lot on your site, before you panic, look at your stats. Has traffic changed? Has revenue dropped? If it hasn’t, there is no need to panic. Remember your goal here – making a profit. That is always your key indicator.

PageRank Sculpting – The Truth

Are you sick of all the endless rants on blogs, forums and articles on the latest “spin” on what Matt Cutts said or didn’t say at SMX last week? Me too. I purposely waited a week to comment to let the “idiotness” die down somewhat and also get Dan Thies‘ take on the whole situation.

Traffic Citation to Prostitution

Traffic Citation to Prostitution

Why would I wait to talk to Dan about this? Unlike others who have voiced their opinion on this, Dan wasn’t just there at SMX, he was the moderator of the session where Matt made his comments.

And Dan was more than shocked with all the rumors that started and people quoting things that Matt didn’t even say. I mean, come on, it’s like getting a ticket for failure to stop at a railroad crossing but your local paper reports that you were picked up for prostitution. That’s just not funny. But if it is someone else, it’s hilarious. :-)

So take ten minutes out of your Friday and watch Dan’s take with his Google Operation Bendover Exposed video. Not only will he clear things up for you, but the comedy is an instant classic. And if you’re wondering if you’ve seen that picture of Leslie Rohde before, you aren’t dreaming. It is my handy work from last year.

Always Be Testing – Great Resource

My colleague on the StomperNet faculty, Andy Edmonds, has a solid blog regarding testing methodologies called Always Be Testing. If you happen to be advanced with a technical background, you will literally eat up Andy’s stuff. It is that good.

For example, he has recently covered the Google Analytics API, SEO Position Plus, and his excellent article about “The Eyes that Buy” which covers his extensive knowledge on eye tracking on the web.

Check it out, it’s a solid resource to bookmark.

Link Building … Why Does it Suck So Bad?!?!?

Link Building. We know it’s important, it just feels like we’ve been run over when we do it for any amount of time. Some have even compared it to prostitution or holding a sign “Will Work for Links”. For me, I’ve had experiences where I paid someone to do link building and received a note similar to this …

Jack Could Be a Link Builder on eLance

Jack Could Be a Link Builder on eLance

Jack just did a bunch of link building he knew wasn’t worth anything, took your money and pretended to “write you a note” like this idiot. Come on, did you know that companies advertising “One Way Links” are actually submitting your site to worthless second or third-rate directories that Google will NEVER spider? Have you wondered what happened to all the “directory submission services” companies out there? They’re still around, they’ve just been renamed “One Way Link” submission companies.

Ugh.

There is only one other person who takes my “No BS” approach to link building and that’s Dan Thies. About two years ago we came out with comprehensive link building courses that helped a lot of webmasters out. Yeah, it took work to get links, but they were good and they STUCK around. Which is good.

Dan is someone I trust. And I don’t trust many people. You should trust him too and here’s why:

Take 9 minutes today and watch his video. The frustration that many other webmasters feel when it comes to getting links maybe the same ones you feel right now. This isn’t some “link scam” system where you pay money to get in “the ground level” for crappy links that Google indexes once and then never again, this is a training system.

I’m going to be taking it as well. If nothing else, it will be worth 9 minutes of your time.

Watch Dan Thies’ Link Liberation and Get a Free BluePrint on one of the four processes.
