Omniture touts themselves as a global leader of web analytics. They should add “Vicious Spammers” to their list too. Check out the screen shot below:
It is one thing to send out a Spam email, it is quite another to send one with over 2MBs of attachments … and you can’t see two of the files that are attached – five in all.
It is no wonder smart Webmasters hate this company. Did you know they used to be called “MyComputer.com” and sold a $30 a month web tracker? The solutions they have now are just a souped up version of that tracker and the people I talk to state they love the information Omniture gives, they just don’t have anyone to implement the stuff.
Perfect.
Do yourself a favor, hire someone good who understands analytics and who can take data and do something with it and use Google Analytics or WebStat. You’ll be far better off. Invest in people who understand what you want to accomplish, not in technology produced by Spammers.

The main reason I started the SEO Revolution was out of frustration. Frustration at all of the lies and misconceptions that are posted in forums, given as advice in teleconferences, and even taught in live workshops. "So why didn't all of this work?" " Why wasn't my site successful?" " Why am I still stuck in a rut?"
Hi Jerry,
As I mentioned to you this morning I sincerely apologize for sending you information you did not wish to receive. I thought you might be interested in discussing how we might be able to work together. The attachments, I felt, would give you a nice explanation to determine if it would be worthwhile on your end. My mistake.
Sincerely,
Steve Curtis
The lesson here is, respect the time and resources of the business owner. Dropping a “thud” of unwanted marketing spew isn’t the way to get to business owners like me.
Hopefully your boss didn’t rip on you too badly when this was brought to your attention.
