Howie Schwartz and I have been working on a competitive analysis / site analysis tool for the last couple months. Basically, we were after a way to gather all the key information you look for in order to make the right decisions as an SEO. This is just the first release and it’s pretty basic stuff, but as we test it over the next few days with several thousand requests via the announcement from Andy Jenkins, well, we’ll know if it can handle doing more comprehensive checks.
Right now, it will:
- Gather the number of pages you have indexed in Google and Yahoo!
- Alexa, Compete and Quantcast data
- Ezine Articles and PRWeb coverage
- How Google “views” your site in terms of the “targeted theme”
- Title Tag
- Meta Description
- Meta Keywords
- Headings (H1, H2, & H3)
- ALT Tags
- Yahoo! & DMOZ directory listing
- AdWords ‘worth” of the keywords you are targeting
The report is free to run on your site. Free. No strings attached.

The main reason I started the SEO Revolution was out of frustration. Frustration at all of the lies and misconceptions that are posted in forums, given as advice in teleconferences, and even taught in live workshops. "So why didn't all of this work?" " Why wasn't my site successful?" " Why am I still stuck in a rut?"
Does it make a difference if the H1 tags are upper case or lower case.
When I got my Site Seer report for http://toledoprinter.com it said I didn’t have any H1 tags.
I checked, and all my “H” tags are lower case “h”
Yeah, this was a bug and should be fixed now.
is the site seer tool still available?
Gavin
Site seer is dead across the whole net…. will it be returning?
No. Site Seer is dead. The real working version never saw the light of day and neither Howie Schwartz, or myself, are still with StomperNet. By the way, I had to remove your link because of your anchor text spam.
