AdSense Revenue Fluctuating? Here’s the Cure …

This is a summary of what Google posted on their AdSense Blog.

First things first: eCPM is the metric of the expected revenue from every 1,000 page impressions. Of course, the higher the number, the better. If you run AdSense across multiple sites and industries, you will see this number vary widely. I always recommend spending your time doing SEO on the pages with strong eCPM.

Okay, now let’s get into the fluctuating revenue numbers …

1) Look at the page impressions. Simple enough, but sometimes overlooked. Your revenue could be bouncing because your traffic levels are bouncing. Check your analytics for clues as to why your traffic is bouncing.

Even Google Makes “Dumb Ass” Mistakes Too…

Scott Hendison, over at PDXTC reported that Google’s secured certificate expired. While it would great to start with the jokes, we’ve all make “dumb ass” mistakes from time to time, like when I let my main domain Web Marketing Now expire a few years ago. It just happens.

March PageRank Update – Directory Affect?

After every TBPR Update (Toolbar PageRank) there seems to be a small army of SEOs and webmasters who want to know one thing, “How were the directories affected?”

As I always do, I hand check the directories to see how they fared. Here is a brief run down:

Aviva Directory – Lost off of their PageRank, this after dropping one point to a 4/10 during the last update in November.

WOW Directory – This is another that has dropped consistently. A drop to 4/10 in October, then a drop to 3/10 in January and now down to 0/10. Hate that.

Get Google Ads for Free?!?!?!

You may have seen a promotion for this eBook on sale through ClickBank. Basically, their “talking” sales page states, “Just insert a simple piece of code onto your web site, landing page, etc. and get all of your Google ads for free.”

One of our members brought it to my attention last week so I bought it and skimmed through it. It’s a 120+ page eBook and it took them 82 pages or so to give the answer …
