It seems Google has finally figured out there isn’t much revenue in the video business and they have moved the link from their home page over in the no man’s land “More” drop down list. The replacement? Products. Now we’re talkin’ …

About a year ago, Google moved their Product Search (Froogle at the time) to the “More” drop down and replaced it with “Video Search.” My take on this is once Universal Search was integrated and people know how to get to search for video, it could have been the Google engineers just simply looked at the analytics of the home page and realized the Video option just wasn’t being used as expected, thus, the switch.
Just another reminder to at least look at your analytic data once a month to ensure you are offering your visitors options they actually use.

" Why wasn't my site successful?" " Why am I still stuck in a rut?"
