Fast Buys AltaVista

In news that was just released, Fast has just purchased the AltaVista Enterprise from Overture. As you recall, earlier this year, AltaVista was bought by Overture. This acquisition should not be confused with Overture’s other transaction this year when they purchased the web search unit of Fast. They did not purchase Fast, just one of their components.
